The transport business finally took off

Chu was meanwhile busy looking around for transportation opportunities for the van. She has made inquiries and found out that there were possibilities of running the van from Opon in Mactan Island to SM city. There was another opportunity to run the van from WhiteGold, the bus terminal, to Hanaya, a township to the north of the island where tourists would end their journey there to take a ferry to the offshore islands for diving.
After much deliberation Chu signed on the WhiteGold-Hanaya route and Papa was finally able to start earning income. While the whole journey took 3 hours from the bus terminal to Hanaya, the income could be doubled if there were returning passengers on the same day. Soon I learned that Papa has to spend the night in Hanaya if there were no returning passengers to save on diesel. Papa was hard working and he would rather wait for the returning trip full of passengers the next day rather than go back with an empty van.
For the next few weeks, it soon dawn on us that Papa may not be able to handle long distance driving. It was decided that Lito should act as the co-driver to change duty while midway through the journey. It was for safety and also to look after each other in case of emergency.
I was happy that the business took off finally and the family was able to have income. We decided to observe the business for a while and if it can stabilize we may consider getting another multi-cab to add to the fleet.
